1955 :: ISOTYPE NIGERIA :: BOOK

Yoruba-language agricultural extension booklet for farmers in Nigeria's Western Region, with a foreword by the regional minister for agriculture and natural resources. Pictorial pages show the region's main crops and export produce (cocoa, rubber, cotton, tobacco, palm kernels and oil), how higher farm output leads to more trade and goods, and government services: improved seedlings and seed, better poultry and cattle, livestock and plant disease control, soil surveys, farm settlements, mechanisation, loans to farmers through the Western Region Production Development Board, and processing mills for rice, maize, palm oil and rubber. Printed text states the Western Region Government issued it and Isotype Institute Ltd. designed it in 1955; technical production by Buffalo Books Ltd, printed by Purnell and Sons, Paulton and London.
