J COUNCIL
You should become a voter so that you can elect to your
Councils the men and women whom you think can best serve
your community.
You will only be able to vote if your name is on the list
or register of voters. When the election is being held you should try to vote early
in the day. If you go late, you may have to stand in queues
for a long time.
If your name is on the register of voters you will be given a
ballot paper. You will then go into a Polling Booth alone.
There you will find the ballot boxes. You will put your ballot
paper into the box which has the symbol of the candidate
you want to be elected.
if you come to vote and your name is not found on the
register of voters, you will not be allowed to vote.
You may have gone to the wrong Polling Station or you may
not have been registered. If you are not on any register of
voters this time, what are you going to do?
